OpenTAP 9.11 addresses the following issues.

Welcome to the November 2020 release of OpenTAP, version 9.11. This is a minor release focusing on bug fixes, usability and performance improvements. Some of the key highlights include:

  • Better support for system wide packages – changed the behavior when executing package actions of system-wide packages

  • Performance improvements for AnnotationCollection – improved performance for large test plans that use MenuAnnotations

  • Bug fixes

Better support for system wide packages

When installing a package as a system-wide package we are looking for the executable in the system-wide package folder, for example C:\ProgramData\Keysight\Test Automation\Packages. This directory is also used as the working directory. This means that if the installer installs another program needed for a given plugin that will be installed in this directory.

Performance improvements for AnnotationCollection

Since the introduction of MenuAnnotations you might have experienced performance issues when dealing with large test plans. This release brings changes that significantly improve performance.

Bug fixes

In this release we have fixed a number of bugs:

  • Fixed an issue with assigning output to a test step that was loaded from a test plan using the Test Plan Reference test step.

  • Fixed a display issue in the test plan panel where the type of the test step wasn’t displayed correctly.
